The program is designed to primarily help non-traditional, diverse learning students at whatever step in their academic career they may be. The foundation provides the following assistance and college readiness programs for interested candidates:

The EBJV Foundation Selection Committee is searching for the next EBJV Scholar.

Please download and complete the application form. Be sure to read all the information below carefully and provide all requested documentation.

 

 

Let’s get started!

Essay Question:

Are you a creative trailblazer and a compassionate leader?  Describe how you exhibit these qualities. The essay should be a maximum of two pages in length, double spaced.

Express Yourself:

Please construct a portfolio of artistic work (visual and/or written) that best exhibits your creative passions.

Note: Portfolios will not be returned and selected portfolios and/or content may be used for EBJV Foundation marketing purposes.

High School Transcript:

An unofficial high school academic transcript is required.

Media Release Form:

Please download, read and sign the EBJV Foundation Media Release Form.

Letters of Recommendation (LOR):

Two letters of recommendation are required. One LOR must be completed by your guidance counselor, social worker or case manager to confirm your current IEP status and diagnosis.  A second LOR should be completed by a teacher.  LORs must be submitted in a sealed envelope with your name written on the front of the envelope. The envelope must also be signed across the back flap by the person recommending you.

Note: Documents submitted to EBJV Foundation will be not be returned and are kept confidential unless otherwise noted.

Submission Package:

Your submission package should include all of the following documents, placed in one envelope no larger than 81/2”x 12”:

  1. EBJV Scholarship Application
  2. Essay
  3. Portfolio
  4. Unofficial Current Transcript
  5. Proof of Current IEP Status (LOR #1)
  6. Statement of Support for EBJV Scholar Candidacy (LOR #2)
  7. EBJV Foundation Media Release Form

*****Incomplete applications will not be accepted.  Only high school seniors with an updated IEP are eligible for this scholarship opportunity.

If you meet the initial requirements, a member of the EBJV Scholarship Selection Committee will contact you by phone and/or email to invite you for an interview.  Please do not call or email the Foundation to inquire about the status of your application.
